SIA represents 98% of the US semiconductor industry and more than half of other national semiconductor industries, and the data has high reference value. SIA pointed out that this means that global semiconductor shipments are strong to meet the continued rising needs.

In terms of perspective, mainland China is still the world's largest semiconductor market, and sales in May is $ 15.5 billion, a year-on-year increase of 26%. Asia-Pacific other regions are the second largest market, with a sales of 12 billion US dollars, an increase of 31% year-on-year. North America is the third largest market, sales of $ 89 billion, a year-on-year increase of 21% year-on-year.

Semiconductor research institutions IC Insights also believes that in 2021 global semiconductor sales will exceed $ 500 billion mark, and create a new high in history. By 2023, it will exceed $ 600 billion to $ 640 billion.
